Honey Whole-Wheat Sandwich Bread

1 cup of milk warmed (can use water or non-dairy milk)
3 TBS. of local honey
1 tsp. of yeast
———
1/3 cup of active sourdough
2 cups of organic bread flour
1 cup of organic whole wheat flour
———
1 tsp. sea salt
*Flour for kneading

Process:
1. Heat the milk in a liquid measuring cup. Add the honey and stir well. Mix in the yeast (make sure the milk is not too hot).
2. Let the milk, honey, and yeast sit for 5 minutes.
3. Add the sourdough. Move to a medium bowl.
4. Add the flour and mix well. Knead for 5 minutes.
5. Let the bread sit covered in a warm kitchen for 20 minutes.
6. Add the salt, squeeze into the dough. Fold a few times and put it into a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 3 hours. *Find a warm sunny place! ☀️
7. Grease a loaf pan. Shape the dough and put it into the pan.
8. Let it rise for 1 hour or until it is soft and proofed. It may vary depending on the temperature of your kitchen.
9. Preheat oven to 375 F.
10. Bake loaf for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350, bake for 15 more minutes.
11. Let loaf cool and enjoy! 🍞
